Wow! Where did the week go? While I advised you last week that there were no top ten matchups, I failed to advise you all that two teams then ranked #3 and #11 would play a pair. And last weekend saw the resurgence of Wisconsin, as they tied and beat North Dakota. Wisconsin rose from the #11 spot to #7 as a result, and North Dakota dropped from #3 to #6. Elsewhere, #1 Miami swept Ohio State to retain tighten its grasp on the top spot, taking 48 of the 50 first place votes in this week’s poll. Denver held on at #2 after splitting a pair with Minnesota-Duluth, and Colorado College jumped from #6 to #3 after a tie and a win against St. Cloud State. And Bemidji State, the favorite two words at the Notre Dame hockey arena, dropped from #4 to #10 after getting swept by Mankato.
This weekend not only are there no top ten matchups, but there are only a total of five hockey games being played.
