Last night #6 Miami beat #9 Maine 4-1 in the first round of the Florida Classic. #11 Michigan took down Michigan Tech 4-2, and #12 Notre Dame disposed of Canisius, 10-2. That was it for top fifteen team action in the last week.
Tonight, in about two hours, is a great matchup as #3 North Dakota travels to #4 Minnesota-Duluth to christen the new Amsoil Arena. Who wouldn’t love to go and see that one? There are some other great matchups between some non-conference games and some of the tournaments. Tonight the championship game of the Great Lakes Invitational pits #11 Michigan against #20 Colorado College, and #6 Miami-Ohio will face St. Cloud State in the championship game of the Florida Classic.
Tomorrow night the Dodge Classic gets underway at the Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis with #12 Union facing #19 Minnesota, and #18 Ferris State facing Bemidji State. Minnesota will face Ferris State on Saturday, and Union will play Bemidji. Also tomorrow night,#10 Boston University will face Brown in the Shilelagh Tournament, and #12 Notre Dame will take on #25 Mankato, with the winners/loser facing each other on Saturday.
Other top teams active this weekend include #1 Yale facing Holy Cross, #2 New Hamphsire taking on the Saints of St. Lawrence, #5 Boston College faces Colgate, #7 Denver plays two against #26 Northern Michigan, #8 Nebraska-Omaha plays two against Quinnipiac, and #4 Minnesota-Duluth will travel to New York to play two against #21 Clarkson on Monday and Tuesday nights.
So we’re back into the swing of things, and after the Christmas break, it’s crunch time for every team as they play out the last eight weeks of their conference schedules.
This provides the top fifteen teams, rankings and records as of the December 13 poll, and last weekend’s results.

That’s all for now. Stay tuned, and go Terriers!
