What a great day tomorrow is in the world of sports.
One of the best sporting events on the planet kicks off at 2pm Pacific Time when the University of Minnesota-Duluth takes on Notre Dame , followed at 5:30pm Pacific Time when the University of North Dakota takes on Michigan.
So if you are able to get near a TV at those times, I think you will see some great hockey — games are on ESPN2.
What’ll it be?
From one game we’ll get a team with a long history of being there — a lot; either North Dakota, or Michigan.
From the other game, we will get a team that would give anything to get there: UMD is in its first Frozen Four in seven years, and Notre Dame was there a few years ago, a partial dividend on the acquisition of coach Jeff Jackson — will the Jacskon hiring pay off?
Will North Dakota be able to keep the recent steam roller steam-rolling?
What about Michigan: will they keep their late season momentum swinging forward?
Can University of Minnesota Duluth continue to reverse its late season lull and return to mid season form when they were ranked in the top four for several weeks?
Will Notre Dame come through and solidify their attack at the right, most prime time to do it?
We’ll know the answers to all of these questions very soon.
And then it’s the championship game, Saturday, 4:00pm Pacific Time on ESPN.
Do you have your championship game party lined up?
Need a Kielbasa, sauerkraut, and onion recipe (hint — that’s pretty much the recipe) ?
Have you managed to chill a can or two or Olympia or Pabst?
And who will be our latest inductee to the College Hockey Update Hall of Fame? Will it be new blood? I know we can’t wait to find out!
