College Hockey Update:  Yesterday in the early game of the Midwest Regional in Allentown, PA, it was all Ohio State.  Mason Jobst scored a power play goal fourteen minutes into the first to give Ohio State a 1-0 lead, and only twenty seconds later Kevin Miller scored to extend the lead to 2-0.  The two played an even, very defensive, and scoreless second.  In the third, Tanner Laczynski scored four minutes into the period to extend the lead to 3-0, Ohio State, and Freddy Gerard scored seven minutes later to make it 4-0, Ohio State.  Princeton fought back, but Ohio State held them off until, with only 27 seconds remaining in the game, Princeton scored on a power play opportunity to make it 4-1.  With ten seconds left in the game, David Hallisey scored for Princeton to make the final 4-2, Ohio State.  Ohio State advanced to play in the final game of the Midwest Region today.  That game just got underway, scoreless as of the time of this posting, on ESPNU.

This outcome was not an upset in our pool, as 38 participants out of 50 picked Ohio State to win, and only twelve picked Princeton.

That’s all for now.  Stay tuned, and go Terriers!
