College Hockey Update: In the second game of the day in the Northeast Region in Manchester, NH, Minnesota-Duluth just hammered Minnesota into submission. This thing was only close for about fifteen minutes.
Duluth scored in the first with about seven minutes left for the 1-0 lead, and then scored again two minutes laster to make it 2-0. Oh, why not run it up in the first? They did, scoring again four minutes later to make it 3-0.
Midway through the second they scored yet again for a 4-0 lead.
That was it for the scoring for Duluth. Minnesota got on the board with five minutes left in the game, to make the final 4-1.
Minnesota-Duluth looks like one very, very serious team. Is this the payout for having two weeks off, and not playing in the semifinals/finals of their conference tournament?
They advanced to the Northeast Regional Championship game in Manchester, NH, Saturday, March 28th, at 2:30pm Pacific Time on ESPN2, against Boston University. This would be an upset in our pool as 30 of 43 entries had picked Minnesota to win this game.
That’s all for now. Stay tuned, and go Terriers!
