College Hockey Update:  Thanks for being in our pool.  Wow — 48 — quite a crowd.

A couple of upsets over the weekend might have stymied the performance of your picks, or bracket. But I know that any disappointment you may have will be heavily outweighed by your joy from watching the tournament, and by the joy you will feel for the eventual winner, when it’s over!

And what are we all hoping to achieve?  Well, the annual trophy, of course as well as the fame and life-altering recognition!  Here’s a look at last year’s trophy (I actually came across this last week, not realizing I had not delivered it to last year’s winner) which I took over to Ken Klein. With all the exclusive contracts he signs as a model (wife is an amazing photographer), he was not willing to pose for me, but instead was behind the scene, holding the subject steady for my camera phone.

Last year’s prize was a dark gray, long-sleeved t-shirt; no one made hooded sweatshirts for the frozen four last year.  This year, who knows?
