Pool Deadline Extended — 3/24, 11AM PT

Harvard sophomore forward Ryan Donato, of Scituate, MA, leads his team in goals scored, with twenty, and is sixth on the team in assists, with eighteen. As a freshman,the 6'1" 181lb forward scored thirteen goals and tallied eight assists. He was picked in the second round with the 56th pick overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. His dad, Ted Donato, is the coach, and he also played at Harvard, amassing 50 goals and 94 assists in his four year career there. His dad was also picked by the Boston Bruins, where he played several seasons of his thirteen year NHL career; he scored 150 goals and added 197 assists in the NHL. Harvard is 26-5-2, ranked #2 in the poll, and plays tomorrow in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament in Providence, RI, against #13 ranked Providence College, at 1:00pm Pacific Time on ESPNU.

College Hockey Update:  Yes, that’s right, the pool deadline has been extended to 11am Pacific Time on Friday, March 24th.

So, time is running out to submit your picks for this year’s pool.

With the deadline extended to Friday morning, March 24, at 11:00am Pacific Time, we will more than likely accept submissions up to about 11:30am on Friday morning.

NOTE:  For any bracket/picks received after 11:30am Friday morning, the entrant will not be eligible to receive points in the pool scoring for any selection of either team in the first game at 11:00am Friday (Boston University vs. North Dakota) at any point in the bracket/picks submitted. This is important because it could make a huge difference in your score, depending on your picks.

If you can’t find your bracket, check your email inbox.

Brackets were emailed out on Monday afternoon, March 20, 2017, at 5:20PM, Pacific Time.

It costs nothing to play, and the winner gets a prize.

Also, send me your picks in a string of winners names in game  number order as indicated under the line where you would write the game winner.
